Flooding in Libya: MSF mobilised in response to the immense needs

The devastating floods caused by storm Daniel have split the coastal town of Derna, in eastern Libya, in two. Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), which has regular operations in the west of the country, sent a team there from Tripoli. It arrived on 14 September, donated medical kits and is beginning to assess needs. It has also met with the Ministry of Health and is working with the Libyan Red Crescent, the main humanitarian player on the ground.

After an explosion yesterday in a marketplace in Kostiantynivka, in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has been responding to urgent medical needs of people injured in the attack.
