Volunteer Support for the Communication & Fundraising Department (m,f,x)

CONTEXT

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent international medical humanitarian organization whose mission is to provide specialized medical care to vulnerable populations in crisis situations—such as armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare—based solely on need, regardless of ethnic origin, gender, beliefs, or political affiliation.

MSF is an international movement made up of 25 national or regional associations. MSF Luxembourg is one of these 25 associations and includes an executive office responsible for communication, fundraising, advocacy, recruitment, and conducting operational research projects directly related to health programs, with the aim of improving their effectiveness and efficiency.


YOUR MISSION
  • You will support MSF Luxembourg’s communication and fundraising activities through a variety of essential and diverse tasks.
  • Through your volunteer work, you will contribute to:
    • Strengthening MSF's visibility and public image,
    • Promoting our social mission, values, and projects.

YOUR MAIN ACTIVITIES
  • You will learn how to carry out competitive monitoring.
  • You will handle the daily press review using major local media sources.
  • You will actively participate in the “Communication – Fundraising” department’s various meetings, especially in the planning and implementation of campaigns.
  • You will support the department by:
    • Publishing articles on our website (msf.lu),
    • Managing and monitoring our social media accounts (including replying to comments),
    • Translating content,
    • Creating promotional materials (brochures, presentations, etc.),
    • Assisting in the production of audiovisual content (video editing, filming, etc.).

  • You are committed and passionate about communicating on humanitarian issues
  • You have a background in communication, international cooperation, journalism, political science, or economics
  • You are comfortable with the following tools: Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, Canva or similar software
  • You have experience with audiovisual editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Da Vinci Resolve, etc.)
  • You are fluent in French and English. German and Luxembourgish are an asset.

  • The opportunity to grow and learn in a dynamic, experienced, and multicultural team
  • Start of the volunteer position: Early July
  • Duration: 6 to 12 months
  • Workplace: Luxembourg City
  • Transportation, shared accommodation, and daily allowance covered
  • 18 meal vouchers per month (face value: €8.40 each)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  • You are between 18 and 30 years old
  • You reside in one of the countries participating in the program (click here to see the list)
  • Please note: This volunteer position is not part of a school curriculum (it is not an internship)
