Our Activity Reports
In 2025, MSF operated in 73 countries where humanitarian needs were most urgent. This report highlights our response to crises caused by natural and human factors, as well as the activities carried out in the Grand Duchy by the teams of the Luxembourg section of MSF.
The document also presents a summary of our financial report. In 2025, MSF Luxembourg raised over €8.51 million thanks to the generosity of its donors. It is worth noting that 99.9% of these funds come from private sources, in accordance with our principles of neutrality, impartiality and independence from any political authority.

Editorial

Dear friends,
In 2025, our humanitarian commitment has continued to be guided by the same principle: to provide emergency medical care where it is most needed. Sudan, Gaza, Haiti, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Afghanistan… Crises are dragging on and worsening, whilst the humanitarian space is shrinking dangerously.
Attacks on healthcare facilities and staff are on the rise, and international humanitarian law is all too often flouted, jeopardising civilians’ very access to care.
At the same time, cuts in international humanitarian funding have led to the suspension of numerous programmes and caused shortages of essential medicines in several contexts where our teams are working. Although MSF remains independent of any government funding, we see the consequences of these cuts on already vulnerable populations on a daily basis.
In Luxembourg, our section has continued its efforts to raise public awareness of humanitarian issues and strengthen solidarity.
At the organisational level, we continued to strengthen our collaborations within the MSF Movement and to support the development of operational research, which is essential for improving the quality and effectiveness of our interventions.
This report reflects the work carried out over the past year by the Luxembourg section of MSF, as well as the challenges we have faced. Despite an increasingly complex global context, our determination remains undiminished.
This work is only possible thanks to the trust and support of all those who stand with us. Thank you for joining us in keeping this solidarity without borders alive.
Warm regards,
Dr Engy Ali
President of MSF Luxembourg

Where do we work?
The names and borders shown on this map do not imply any position on the part of MSF regarding their legal status. Countries and regions in which MSF has only carried out assessments or activities amounting to less than €500,000 in expenditure in 2025 are not shown on this map.
This map uses a projection inspired by Peirce, which offers a continuous and equitable representation of the world. Changing the way we view the world to care for it better: by adopting the Peirce projection, we reject the distortions inherited from geographical representations of the past. Whereas Mercator altered proportions to serve the navigators of yesteryear, the Peirce projection restores a form of fairness by placing the world within a continuous space, with no centre or periphery.
