On March 19, 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, Xavier Bettel, and the Minister of National Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, presented the new platform eduact.lu, dedicated to global citizenship education. EduAct brings together the educational activities offered in this field to Luxembourgish schools by Luxembourg-based development NGOs (NGDOs). The Luxembourg section of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a partner in this initiative.
We were delighted to attend the launch of the EduAct platform during the BNE Network and, above all, to be a partner in this project. EduAct is a tool fully aligned with MSF’s ambitions to raise awareness among young people. We are convinced that engaging new generations complements MSF’s humanitarian mission by providing them with tools and keys to understand contemporary crises, suggesting ways they can take action, and even inspiring vocations.
In this respect, EduAct will help create connections with other NGOs active in Global Citizenship Education, increase our visibility among schools, high schools, and their teaching staff, and expand our impact to reach as many people as possible.”

MSF Luxembourg offers a wide range of educational expertise focused on global and solidarity-based citizenship education. Its programs aim to develop young people’s critical thinking, their understanding of global inequalities, and issues related to access to healthcare. Through active and participatory teaching methods, MSF works in schools and universities via interactive workshops, field testimonies, and role-playing activities (humanitarian escape room "Stop Ebola", “mapathons”, collaborative board game TimeRush!), encouraging collective reflection and engagement.
MSF also adapts its medical and humanitarian content for non-specialist audiences, combining scientific communication with awareness-raising. These activities help foster empathy and social responsibility, encouraging young people to understand the realities of humanitarian crises and consider civic engagement.
