Urgent – MSF International is looking for a BI Project Manager

I. MSF INTERNATIONAL

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. MSF offers assistance to people based only on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. MSF International is the legal entity that binds MSF’s 21 sections, 24 associations and other offices together. Based in Geneva, MSF International provides coordination, information and support to the MSF Movement, as well as implements international projects and initiatives as requested.

II. POSITION BACKGROUND

Management of Human Resources (HR) is a strategic element for the Organization. In 2008 an ambitious international HR-Vision was formulated with a clear commitment to an international approach on HR, which will allow greater visibility on global workforce, for better allocation of Human Resources and more efficiency in people management. Based on this vision, various programs and initiatives were launched to achieve it. The Symphony Program is one of those key projects with the objective of designing, customizing and rolling out SAP as a common HR information system across 24 MSF offices worldwide

III. PLACE IN THE ORGANISATION

Inside the MSF International Office, you will be a member of the Symphony Program Team and you will report directly to the Symphony Program Manager. You will actively interact with all MSF HR and IT actors in all sections.

IV. OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

Being a key member of our Symphony project team means you will support Symphony project by implementing and developing business intelligence (BI) tools, processes and internal competencies

V. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

· Identify existing BI solutions across MSF, including local initiatives and ongoing projects
· Liaise with international working groups to capture stakes, needs, successes and issues regarding data collection and reporting processes. If necessary provide assistance for the definition of indicators or KPIs
· Perform research and comparisons of BI tools, including relevant insights related to business intelligence (strategies, reviews…)
· Collect and analyse global and local needs, including specifications (data sources & data references, data collection processes, business rules, stakeholders, …). Should also be considered global requirements collected so far with the blueprints (SAP/NGA)
· Keep track of Symphony data model in SAP and new MSF data dictionary
· Document and propose a Strategy to Symphony Program Manager: stakes, scope definition (reports, dashboards, indicators, KPIs), stakeholders and personas (users’profiles), project governance, milestones and planning, methodology. Propose postimplementation support, maintenance and governance
· Liaise with IDHR, ISM, Symphony project Team and Program Board for: Identification and selection of best software and application landscape BI processes definition, ensuring efficiency in gathering data and information across MSF
. Explore/propose new opportunities with BI tool that could bring added value for MSF and HR professionals. Examples: reduce level/complexity of developments within SAP, improve user experience, consider Homere (Field HR tool) as a possible data source for global HR Cockpit
. Deliver proofs of concepts if relevant to strengthen BI capabilities
. Lead solution build and implementation phases, testing (including UAT) Manage training, Change Management and Communication activities related

VI. PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

- Experience (more than 2 years) in similar positions in the humanitarian/private sector at international/national level.
- MSF or humanitarian experience
- Project management, team management
- Level of planning: strategic, priority setting for self or other
- Communication skills: eg. public speaking
- Networking
- Capacity for autonomy
- English Proficiency and French an asset
- IT literacy
- Mobility requirements

Specific Requirements:
- Strong BI experience knowledge or understanding of HR
- Knowledge of SAP environment
- Other as needed
